Los Liones Cyn Trail

The panoramic views from Malibu to Palos Verdes that await us at the top are as blue as far as the eyes can see.But don’t think this trek to Parker Mesa is a walk in the park. We’ll start out with a steep climb up the canyon via a sometimes-shaded single track trail, connecting to a fire road that offers up our first glimpse of the ocean. We’ll stay on the fire road the rest of the way, with the ooh-and-ahh views continuing to the overlook at the top. We’ll play musical chairs for places on the few benches there (singing “Blue Moon” of course) and take a break for our brunch-with-a-billion-dollar views, before returning back the way we came.STATSLevel: ModerateGain: ~ 1,300Distance:~ 7 milesTime: ~ 3-1/2-to-4 hoursType: Single track and fire road, out and backDogs: Not permittedWater: Not available at trailheadRestrooms: Available at trailheadParking: Free, but limited, street parking (do not park in church lot).
