Yosemite Valley

This is the place people are usually thinking of when they think about Yosemite. Many of the things Yosemite is famous for are here: El Capitan and Half Dome, Yosemite and Bridalveil Falls, the Mist Trail, the tunnel view. There is a very good reason to come and see it… there’s simply no place else like it anywhere.

Cost: $15 to walk in, $25 to drive. Seniors are $10.. so bring your mum!

Yosemite’s eastern entrance, via Tioga Pass, is usually closed from November through May due to snow. See the Road Conditions page for the road’s historical opening and closing dates.
