After Care Instructions
Everything used in your treatment was either sterilized or sanitized and clean. Please help your skin to heal by refraining from picking or touching your skin with your hands or other germ-laden objects.
DO NOT:
- Use any soap, cleansing cream, grains, etc. on the area for 24 hours after treatment.
- Apply any make-up to the area for 24 hours after treatment. This includes powders and moisturizers.
- Rub, scratch or squeeze the treated area.
- Expose treated area to prolonged sunlight within 48 hours after treatment.
DO CLEANSE THE AREA WITH A MILD ANTISEPTIC SUCH AS SEA BREEZE, HYDROGEN PEROXIDE, WITCH HAZEL, BACTINE OR 70% ALCOHOL.
After receiving treatment, it is normal for your skin to display redness. Some skin areas will welt or swell slightly. This is temporary and will disappear after a short while.
Special instructions, if needed
If the treated area becomes irritated with whiteheads or raised red bumps (usually 24-36 hours after treatment), apply a hot Epsom salt compress (1 tablespoon Epsom salts to 1 cup hot water) for ten minutes, three times a day for two days.
If treated area swells, apply an ice cube or ice pack.
Some skin types that are sensitive will heal with pinpoint scabs. These will last a few days. If area scabs, DO NOT squeeze or pick scabs prematurely or discoloration and/or pitting of the skin may occur. You may use pure Aloe Vera or Vitamin E oil to help moisturize the skin and eliminate the scabs.
